Bernie Brezina, RPA - Chairman/Consultant
After attending the University of Houston, Bernie Brezina entered the claims profession in 1970 as an adjuster for Liberty Mutual Insurance, before planting his feet at Morton Claim Service later that year. After handling claims for 19 years under the direction of owner Don Morton, Bernie purchased the company, which was renamed Brezina Claim Associates, Inc. in 1995. He served as president of the company for 32 years, employing and mentoring all four of his children and numerous employees. As senior partner in the firm, Bernie currently serves as chairman of the board, casualty claims supervisor, and claims consultant.

Luke Brezina, President/Claims Manager
Luke Brezina earned his bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Sam Houston State University in 2000. Luke entered the claims profession in 2002 as a property adjuster and marketing representative. Upon development of operations standards for these two departments, he was promoted to executive vice president in 2007, serving as quality assurance supervisor for residential and commercial property claims, and director of business development. In January 2012, he became president of the board and managing partner in the firm. As managing partner, Luke serves as claims manager; director of business development, operations, and finance; and large-loss property claim supervisor. He has also served on the executive board of the National Association of Independent Insurance Adjusters as regional vice president from 2011-2013, as well as regional vice president and secretary/treasurer for the Texas Independent Insurance Adjusters Association from 2009-2013; and, is currently serving as President-elect.

Matt Brezina, Board Secretary/Auto Physical Damage Supervisor
Matt Brezina was educated at Texas Tech University and Sam Houston State University before earning his bachelor’s degree in Business Administration in 2007. He joined the family business in 1997 as an auto physical damage estimator and property adjuster. Realizing a passion for the casualty side of the business and auto body mechanics, Matt directed his specialization toward auto physical damage.

After a short stint the residential and commercial construction industry, Matt returned to the family business in 2007, resuming his position in auto physical damage estimating. Asserting a leadership role in this growing service line, he was quickly promoted to quality assurance supervisor and assignment coordinator for physical damage appraisals. He has also maintained a working knowledge of property adjusting. Matt became a partner in the firm in 2011 and is currently serving as the secretary of the board. He is also currently serving a term as regional vice president on the board of the Texas Independent Insurance Adjusters Association.
